Our History

Heritage Academy, Abuja commenced operation on September 17, 2001, at a temporary accommodation in Wuye and later Wuse II. Now, the school has moved into its expansive and purpose-built site in the Katampe District of Abuja. The school is fully accredited by the Department of Policy and Implementation, Education Secretariat of the Federal Capital Territory Administration, Abuja, Nigeria, having passed its rigorous accreditation exercise. The school was founded by Mrs Oge Neliaku, who holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Accountancy), PGDE and Masters degree (Educational Planning and Management).

From a humble beginning, Heritage Academy has grown into a size-able Christian school community spanning pre-school, primary classes and junior secondary classes. Our academic staff members are dedicated teachers with prerequisite teaching qualifications, complimented by non-academic staff serving as drivers, security, janitors and nannies. We have quite an impressive array of facilities which include a media station, a library, indoor and outdoor play areas and air-conditioned classrooms that use white boards and markers.

Heritage Academy is designed for parents who see the need for children to be given more than just academics in the name of education.
