The Board of Directors of Heritage Academy is happy to introduce to you a reputable Christian school in the heart of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
From inception in 2001, the school remains committed to building our dear nation, Nigeria, by building its young citizens, our ‘Leaders of Tomorrow’, on strong Christian values and principles. Our belief is that the Bible contains the instructions for the development of strong visionary citizens of character and Godly virtue. Scripture shows us that blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. In order to lift our nation and continent from deep poverty, disease, corruption and every vice we have come to be known for, to becoming known as a blessed people, we must of necessity have citizens who will live before God for themselves and for others, bring insight into matters of national development and bring to bear Godly leadership in the public and private sectors.
To this end, the academic program is designed to lay a solid Biblical foundation in pupils and students while preparing them to take leadership roles in different spheres of influence in Nigeria, the continent of Africa and beyond. To achieve this, a unique curriculum has been created by integrating the British curriculum into the Nigerian curriculum. This is to ensure pupils and students have a firm grasp of all subject matter needed to excel academically. But beyond having a firm grasp of the core academics, we are of the belief that it is imperative that future leaders of our nation must know the history of not just our nation, but also of Africa and the rest of the world in a manner that enables them interpret events that may seem random to the untrained mind and make decisions as leaders with wisdom, knowledge and understanding.
In addition, we have also carefully and thoughtfully created our unique and special Heritage Leadership Preparatory Course (HLPC) which begins from Junior Secondary 1 (JS 1). The HLPC will expose students to relevant aspects of world history and religions as well as strategic and critical thinking skills. The entire school program is structured to raise academically sound youths possessing a biblical worldview and a working knowledge of history to fill the leadership gaps in our continent.
